When we travel to Walt Disney World, we drive majority of the time. Since we drive, we usually pack too much stuff- mostly food for breakfast in the room, late night snacks after a full day in the parks and snacks while we are in the parks.
To carry all these snacks and to keep them somewhat organized in the hotel room, I choose to bring them in a laundry basket. It’s easy to pack in the back of the car and carry them all in one trip.
Since having a baby, I’ve learned that the transition from baby tub to “big” tub is hard. The solution that’s worked for us is to bathe the baby in a laundry basket!
So many families spend valuable time planning their vacations to Walt Disney World, only to fail to look at height restrictions. They build up their trip to their kids and when they arrive, they realize their child is too short to ride the ONE ride they have been excited about.
To keep this from happening to you and your family, know your child’s height(s) and familiarize yourself with the height restrictions below. To make things easier, head to WDWInfo and use their height calculator to plug in your child’s height and get a list of attractions your child is still too short to experience.

Search for Hidden Mickeys while you are on your Disney vacation! According to Wikipedia, a “Hidden Mickey is a representation of Mickey Mouse that has been inserted subtly into the design of a ride, attraction, or other location in a Disney theme park, Disney properties, movie or other Disney product. The most common Hidden Mickey is a formation of three circles that may be perceived as the silhouette of the head and ears of Mickey Mouse, often referred to by Disney aficionados as a ‘Classic Mickey’.”

What’s your favorite Hidden Mickey at WDW?
Schedule a wake up call each morning you are at WDW. Disney characters will “call” to wake you up! Consider choosing a time that is not on the hour, half hour or quarter hours. That will up your chances of having Mickey make the call! (At least that’s what I’ve been told!) When the call comes, make sure you answer on “speaker phone” so everyone in the room can hear who the character is on the other end of the line!
Yesterday, I mentioned “Rope Drop” at the Magic Kingdom as one of our Must Do Magic Kingdom Experiences. If you aren’t familiar with Rope Drop, I suggest you take time on your next vacation to see it! Rope Drop is a short “show” with characters, songs, dancing, fireworks and a guest family that opens the park for the day. Plan on arriving at the front of the Magic Kingdom at least 30 minutes prior to park opening. This will allow you time to get through bag check, through the turn stiles and situated before the celebration begins! Get your camera(s) ready and enjoy the show!
Plus, you’ll get to ride your favorite ride and snag a fast pass before the lines get too long, if you make it in time for Rope Drop!
You can start making dining reservations at Walt Disney World restaurants 180 days prior to the date. The phone lines ((407) WDW-DINE) open at 7:00am Eastern time, but the online reservations are available starting at 6:00am EST. Set your alarm for 5:55am 180 days prior to your vacation so you can be first to make those coveted reservations! Even better, have the web page bookmarked so you can find it quickly at 5:55 in the morning!
