I am a lucky girl. I have the best friends ever- from college until now, I’ve been surrounded by wonderful people. Even in my blogging life, I’m surrounded by the best!
My sweet Disney friend and fellow Auburn fan, Donna Kay has showered my with goodies from her etsy shop, Magical Creations and Celebrations! Over time, she has shared a decal I have on my laptop, a mailbox address decal, t-shirts and more!
Our most recent surprise from Donna Kay were t-shirts for me and C-man. Since C-man is on a huge Star Wars kick, it was appropriate that he got a Darth Vader shirt. I got a chevron Mickey shirt with my initials!
We have actually had these shirts for a few months… but we wear them so often, I couldn’t get them both clean and on us to get photos together! One day we lucked out and both wore our shirts from Donna Kay and they were clean! C-man insisted on ‘posing’ as a Star Wars character. I have no idea who he thinks he is in these photos! I also had to pull my hair up to show how cute the back is- so excuse the way I look! ha!
These shirts have been through the wash several times. I turn both inside out when I wash them- just in case! So far, we have had no trouble at all with the decals coming off, cracking or fading. We can’t wait to wear them on our next Walt Disney World Vacation!
d order a few products from her! She does outstanding work! In fact, we’ll be ordering more before our trip! 🙂
Welcome to those of you joining me from Return To Disney and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail.
I’ve been thinking about my #DisneySide since I first heard about it last fall. Disney encompasses my life. It’s just a part of who I am. There is not a day, literally, that I don’t talk about Disney face to face with someone- my husband, my sons, my coworkers, my friends, my son’s teachers, my youth, etc. Every. Day. I can somehow tie almost any topic back to something related to Disney. Kinda like that game “6 Degrees of Separation” except it rarely takes 6 degrees! But a #DisneySide is much more than just talking about Disney a lot…
There is something in each room of my house that is Disney related- a book, movie, stuffed animal, picture, pin, frame, nightlight, toothbrush, dishes… the list could go on. We have Disney everywhere. I have loads of t-shirts and sweatshirts that are Disney themed. Some don’t even fit, but I feel guilty getting rid of them just because they are Disney! All 6 of the CD slots in my car stereo hold a Disney CD and I have over 10 hours of Disney songs on my iPhone. But my #DisneySide has to be more than the “stuff” I own or the number of mouse ears I have…
I also took the American Tourister quiz to help determine my #DisneySide. The results were “Fun-Loving Kids At Heart ~ Which ones are the kids again? You dance through the Main Street, U.S.A.® area, eat Mickey ice cream bars for breakfast with the kids, spin in tea cups, wear funny Mickey Mouse Ear Hats and can’t get enough play time in your day.” That is definitely me! And not just at Disney! But still, I feel there is more to it…
So in conclusion, my #DisneySide does include talking about Disney A LOT, owning way too much Disney paraphernalia, laughing & playing in the parks, the timeless classics & characters, and being a Fun-Loving Kid at Heart. But I think the two most important parts about my #DisneySide are 1) the memories I’ve been able to make with my family because of Disney parks, movies, and songs and 2) the friends I’ve been able to make over the years who share this crazy passion for Disney through The Magical Blogorial and this blog.
Thank you Disney for the memories. Thank you Walt for your vision. Thank you friends for being there. Thank you family for loving me and putting up with my #DisneySide!!
Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:
Thanks for the hop Deb!
Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Green. Enjoy the ride as we share what we are most thankful for at Disney Resorts.
When I think about Disney, there are so many things I’m thankful for! One thing I’m most thankful for is the friends I’ve made through my love for Disney. This group, The Magical Blogorail, has almost become second family to me and I’m so thankful for the love and support they have shown me over the past few years. But, this post isn’t about friends, it’s about Disney resorts so… on with the post!
One of the many things I’m thankful for at Disney Resorts, whether that is Walt Disney World or Disneyland (I’ve never been to the others) is how they take care of their guests. Disney does an OUTSTANDING job looking out for people with physical and mental limitations, people with food issues and people in unique situations. I have several friends who even write blogs solely devoted to traveling to Disney in wheelchairs, traveling with autistic children or special needs children and traveling with members who need special diets- gluten free, dairy free, nut free, etc. It always makes me smile to know that Disney has taken care of these guests and I’m thankful for that.
I’m also thankful for the fact that Disney is always changing. While I do miss several of the attractions of days gone by, I’m always looking forward to what is next. Of all the trips I’ve made to Walt Disney World, no two have ever been alike due to new attractions, new restaurants, new resorts, special events, new races, etc. There is always something new on the horizon at Disney and I’m thankful for that.
Having a place where my family can visit and not worry about all the things we’ve left behind is another reason I’m thankful for Disney. When we set foot on Disney property we know we are in our happy place and things in the outside world seem to disappear. When we travel to other places, that doesn’t happen. I’m not sure why this happens at Disney, but it does and I’m thankful.
The last thing I’m thankful for is Disney memories. The memories I have over the years from Disney vacations top almost all of my other family vacation memories. Maybe it’s because we’ve been so many times. Maybe it’s just because Disney is THAT good at making memories! Either way, I’m very thankful for the memories I have.
If you’re curious what the rest of my family is thankful for at Disney, you can read about my husband here, my middle son here and the oldest & youngest boys here! What are you thankful for? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
