Disclosure: I was sent the Oxygenics Disney Mickey Mouse Shower Head to review on my blog. All opinions expressed are my own.
Our youngest boys love bath time. Each night they rush to the bathroom to get in the tub and get a bath. They love the bubbles, the toys and the splashing. However, my youngest does not like having water poured over his head so I can wash his hair!
- I like the fact that my 5 year old can “practice” showering with the handheld shower head. It has helped him ease into showering by himself.
- I like the durability of the product. Having 2 boys, this product took quite a beating in the bath tub! It stood up to the test. It’s not only durable, but also easy to handle, use and clean.
- The detachable shower head was great. The 72 inch hose allowed me to rinse both boys heads with ease. Once I was finished with the boy closest to the faucet, I could stretch the hose to the back of the tub to rinse the second boys hair.
- The control lever allowed me to turn off the water at the detachable shower head instead of at the main water control. This made lathering shampoo and soap easy since I could turn on and off the shower head with the flip of a switch on the handle.
- The water pressure coming out of our faucet into the tub weakened after the shower head was attached. At first, I thought it was all in my head. When my14 year old complained about the water pressure, I realized it wasn’t me. I temporarily took off our Mickey Mouse shower head to see if the pressure came back and it did. I still don’t know why the water pressure out of the faucet would change even when the shower was not turned on.
- Even though I liked the 72 inch hose when I was trying to rinse my son’s hair who was farthest away from the faucet, I did not like the length of the hose when it was attached to the shower head. There was so much slack in the hose that it got in the way when we were trying to shower. I also didn’t like the detached shower head dangling into the tub water when we were not using it.

This time last year our world was rocked with the release of Frozen in theaters. This movie, the songs, and the characters all became instant HITS with all ages. My younger boys are both Frozen fans and enjoy everything about this movie. On a regular basis I hear one of them singing “Let it Go” or “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”.

Luckily if you are at Walt Disney World or on a Disney Cruise in the near future, you will have access to EpiPens and EpiPen Jrs in the parks. Mylan, the marketer and distributor of EpiPen® (epinephrine) and EpiPen Jr® (epinephrine) Auto-Injectors, recently announced a multi-year strategic alliance agreement with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and Disney Cruise Line to help enhance access to EpiPen and EpiPen Jr Auto-Injectors and increase awareness of anaphylaxis, a life-threatening (severe) allergic reaction. The alliance helps support Mylan’s mission to provide the world’s 7 billion people access to high quality medicine and set new standards in health care.

Mylan Signs Strategic Alliance Agreement with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to Enhance Access to EpiPen®(epinephrine) Auto-Injectors
PITTSBURGH – Nov. 7, 2014 – Mylan Inc. (Nasdaq: MYL) today announced it has signed a multi-year strategic alliance agreement with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to help increase awareness of anaphylaxis, a life-threatening (severe) allergic reaction. The agreement includes updated maps in Disney’s domestic theme parks and on its cruise ships as well as updated signage in the parks that highlight locations with EpiPen® (epinephrine) and EpiPen Jr®(epinephrine) Auto-Injectors. Over time, the companies also will introduce a variety of educational resources designed to increase awareness of and preparedness for severe allergic reactions.
EpiPen® locations will roll out at Disney parks and on cruise ships beginning in late 2014. In addition to emergency medical services (EMS), nurses trained to administer EpiPen Auto-Injectors are available during First Aid station operating hours to assist guests experiencing a severe allergic reaction. To help guests identify EpiPen locations, Disney’s guide maps will now include an EpiPen Auto-Injector symbol and new signage at First Aid stations.
“Mylan’s mission is to provide the world’s 7 billion people access to high quality medicine and set new standards in health care. In support of this mission, we are committed to enhancing access to EpiPen Auto-Injectors and to increasing awareness of anaphylaxis. Like life, severe allergic reactions are unpredictable, so people need to be prepared,” said Mylan CEO Heather Bresch. “We are very proud to be working with Disney, which already has a strong reputation for meeting the needs of people managing severe allergies, and believe we can further raise awareness of anaphylaxis through this collaboration and our joint commitment to education.”
Anaphylaxis is unpredictable, and can progress quickly and without warning. Clinical guidelines state that epinephrine is the first-line treatment when anaphylaxis occurs, making access critical. For those with a known risk, it is important to be prepared with an anaphylaxis action plan that includes 1) avoiding known allergens, 2) recognizing the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, 3) having immediate access to two epinephrine auto-injectors, such as EpiPen Auto-Injector, and 4) seeking immediate emergency medical care should anaphylaxis occur.
“For our guests who live with severe allergies every day, identifying EpiPen locations is an additional tool they’ll have for their anaphylaxis management plan,” said Dr. Pamela Hymel, chief medical officer for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “This new strategic alliance will help raise awareness of EpiPen locations so that our Guests with severe allergies may have the best possible experience at our parks and on our cruise ships.”
Families managing known severe allergies are encouraged to follow their individual anaphylaxis action plans and carry their epinephrine auto-injectors with them at all times.
EpiPen® (epinephrine) 0.3 mg and EpiPen Jr® (epinephrine) 0.15 mg Auto-Injectors are for the emergency treatment of life-threatening allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) caused by allergens, exercise, or unknown triggers; and for people who are determined to be at increased risk for these reactions. EpiPen and EpiPen Jr are intended for immediate self administration as emergency supportive therapy only. Seek immediate emergency medical treatment after use.
Important Safety InformationEpiPen Auto-Injectors contain a single dose of epinephrine, which you inject into your outer thigh. DO NOT INJECT INTO YOUR VEIN, BUTTOCK, FINGERS, TOES, HANDS OR FEET. In case of accidental injection, please seek immediate medical treatment. Epinephrine should be used with caution if you have heart disease or are taking certain medicines that can cause heart-related (cardiac) symptoms.
Tell your doctor if you have certain medical conditions such as asthma, depression, thyroid disease, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, have any other medical conditions, are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Be sure to also tell your doctor all the medicines you take, especially medicines for asthma. If you have certain medical conditions, or take certain medicines, your condition may get worse or you may have longer lasting side effects when you take the EpiPen or EpiPen Jr Auto-Injector.
The most common side effects may include increase in heart rate, stronger or irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea and vomiting, difficulty breathing, paleness, dizziness, weakness or shakiness, headache, apprehension, nervousness or anxiety. These side effects usually go away quickly, especially if you rest.
Talk to your healthcare professional to see if EpiPen or EpiPen Jr Auto-Injector is right for you.

I have always been a fan of Idina Menzel. While I never saw her as Maureen in RENT on stage, I loved her character in the movie version. Maureen/ Idina made me add “
Star Be on Broadway” to my bucket list! When I saw Idina in the original cast of Wicked as Elphaba, I was blown away! She quickly became my favorite Broadway actress!
When Frozen came out, I wasn’t excited. I don’t know why, but I wasn’t. When I finally saw it in the theatre, I only thought it was OK. After we purchased the DVD and my boys watched it a dozen times, I grew to love it myself. While I loved hearing Idina sing Elsa’s songs, I still could not picture Idina as Elsa. Maybe it was the blonde/ white hair!
When it came time to review Idina’s new Christmas album, Holiday Wishes, with One2One, I crossed my fingers, HARD, hoping I could get the chance! When my download of this album arrived, I was THRILLED!
Adding this album to the almost 12 hours worth of Christmas music on my iTunes right now made me feel my collection may be near completion. Idina’s voice is one of the best out there. It’s crisp, clean, smooth and perfect for these songs. As you listen to these songs, you will immediately be put into the Christmas spirit!
There are 12 tracks on Holiday Wishes.
- Do You Hear What I Hear
- The Christmas Song
- Baby It’s Cold Outside (Duet with Michael Buble)
- Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
- All I Want For Christmas
- What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?
- December Prayer
- When You Wish Upon A Star
- Silent Night
- Holly Jolly Christmas
- White Christmas
Bonus Tracks on Target Exclusive
Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
The assortment of songs on this album is great. There are fun, upbeat songs to dance around with your kids such as All I Want For Christmas Is You and Holly Jolly Christmas. Then, there are the sweet, slower songs you listen to as you dance with your spouse! Those are Baby It’s Cold Outside, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve. My favorites are the ones that tell the story of Christmas: Silent Night and Do You Hear What I Hear.
If you are familiar with Idina’s work on Broadway, you know what you’ll expect in this album. She is true to her form. If you like her style, you’ll LOVE this album. It’s the perfect album to sing along to in the shower or in the car when you can sing at the top of your lungs pretending your are on center stage in the Nederlander Theatre on W 41st Street! Idina sings all of these songs as if she is on center stage and I love it!
Here are some snippets of her songs on this album.
More on Idina Menzel and Holiday Wishes
Holiday Wishes, a Christmas album recorded by Tony Award-winning singer/actor Idina Menzel, is out now on Warner Bros. Records.
The album was produced by Grammy Award-winner Walter Afanasieff (Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey) and features such classic favorites as “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” as well as Joni Mitchell’s Christmas-themed “River,” one of Menzel’s favorites.
Another highlight is a duet with international superstar Michael Bublé on “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” An exclusive Target edition of Holiday Wishes features two bonus tracks, including “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”.
Idina’s career has traversed stage, film, television, and music. She was most recently heard as Elsa in Disney’s global box-office smash Frozen, in which she sings the film’s Oscar-winning song “Let It Go.” After her performance of the multi-platinum song at the 86th annual Academy Awards, she made history as the first person with both a Billboard Top 10 hit and a Tony Award for acting.
Idina currently stars as Elizabeth in the original Broadway production of If/Then.
