Welcome to those of you joining me from Capturing Magical Memories and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.
When arriving at All Star Music, you will check in at the lobby located in Melody Hall. Along with check in and the lobby, you will find the Intermission Food Court which features American cuisine, Maestro’s Mickey Gift Shop and Note’ables Arcade. On the grounds you will find 2 swimming pools: the guitar shaped Calypso Pool and the Grand Piano shaped pool. The Calypso pool is the main pool that features a water fountain with the Three Caballeros: Donald, Panchito and Jose. Along with the pools, children can enjoy the resort play ground or the Note’ables Arcade.
If you stay at the All Star Music Resort, you will need to use the Disney Bus Transportation to get you to the other areas of the Walt Disney World Resort. Your only other options are a taxi (which can be very expensive!) or a car (rental or personal). Once you arrive at a park, you can then use different transportation to get from park to park (monorail, bus, boat or walking paths).
While the rooms are smaller at the All Star Resorts and the bus is your main transportation, you can’t beat the price! According to the WDW web site, you can get a room for as low as $89 a night- and I’ve seen it even cheaper in the past! The Family Suites will run you more (about $190), but they are larger and have “cooking” options with a microwave, sink and fridge. For our family, we spend all of our time in the parks, at Downtown Disney or resort hopping. So, all we are paying for is a place to sleep, shower and keep our belongings. The Value Resorts make perfect sense for us!
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Magical Mouse Schoolhouse.
