During my marathon trip to Walt Disney World in 2003, I met Lonnie from the “American Adventure.” Lonnie is only one of two cast members I’ve met and received an autograph. The other was Oscar from Disneyland. While we were waiting for the American Adventure show to start we started talking to an older man in the rotunda. The Voices of Liberty had finished and Lonnie started telling us about American History and showing us some of the unique items in the pavilion. He was so interesting and made history fun! After talking with him for quite some time I asked for his autograph so I could remember the moment. I wish now that I had taken a picture with him. On my September trip, I’m going to try to find Lonnie at the American Adventure and get a photo made!

I posted my newest Favorite Disney Memory on Friday when I wrote about my “Magical Phone Call” to Epcot when my brother was visiting. Here are the pictures my mom sent from the phone call! 🙂
Today is the 1 year anniversary of my blog, “A Disney Moms Thoughts”! It’s been a fun year, to say the least! As I mentioned in my blogorail introduction, I started this in hopes of attending the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in 2011. But that didn’t happen…
“I still have a big smile on my face from your UK call. Thanks for still finding a way into my disney memories even when you’re not here. Love you!”
A few weeks ago I recieved an email about Free Dining at Walt Disney World if you book a trip before April 30 for dates ranging between April 23 and August 13, 2011. My family is at “the world” now, so they couldn’t take advantage of this offer and my next trip is in September, so I can’t take advantage of it either. I hate that! I’ve always heard about these illusive Pin Codes, so I was excited when I got one in an email!
REALLY?!?! Just one?! I can’t do it. There are so many memories to share! I think one of my favorites is when my husband and I went to WDW by ourselves to run the half marathon in 2008. One morning we went to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop and early magic hours. We spent our extra hour walking around, looking at everything and finding the magic in the details! It was such a great time without rushing from ride to ride and waiting in lines. You can read more about it here.
Another great memory was the first time C-man, my 2 year old, went to the Magic Kingdom! He still talks about meeting Woody and Jessie and riding “Dummo!”
I also was thrilled to visit Disneyland for the first time last May! I’m in no rush to head back to LA, but I would love to revisit the original Magic Kingdom and spend days walking around taking it all in!
